About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager to oversee the delivery of infrastructure projects across the Munster region. Based in our Ballincollig Regional Office, this is an exciting opportunity to join a progressive and expanding engineering organisation working across water, wastewater, and related civil infrastructure sectors.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee the execution of multiple projects, ensuring a unified and collaborative team approach.

Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Sustainability standards.

Promote and lead a proactive Health and Safety culture on all project sites.

Engage with all stakeholders including clients, consultants, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies.

Coordinate cross-disciplinary engineering tasks throughout project lifecycles.

Serve as the main point of contact for site safety (PSCS) and design safety (PSDP) compliance.

Conduct regular site inspections, safety briefings, and toolbox talks.

Apply structured project management methodologies such as Lean Construction and Last Planner.

Track project performance, risk, and commercial metrics; implement mitigation strategies.

Report monthly on progress, financials, and key performance indicators.

Manage procurement activities, subcontractor engagements, and ensure effective cost control.

Mentor junior staff and support recruitment and team development.

Contribute to the bidding process for new projects and foster strong client relationships.

Lead continuous improvement through lessons learned and innovative approaches.

Stay up to date with professional development and best practices.
Candidate Requirements

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar project management role, ideally within the water, wastewater, or civil engineering sectors.

A Level 7 (or higher) Honours Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental, Mechatronics, or Chemical Engineering.

Strong leadership and teamwork capabilities.

Proven ability to manage stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers effectively.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and engineering tools such as GPS, total station, and AutoCAD.

Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Full, clean driving licence.
